Dr. Sarah Heath
President, Emily Griffith Technical College

Dr. Sarah Heath is a passionate advocate for educational equity and the inaugural President of Emily Griffith Technical College. A nationally recognized leader in Career and Technical Education (CTE), Dr. Heath brings more than two decades of experience as an educator, state administrator and policy advocate dedicated to powering economic mobility through high-quality technical education.

Prior to joining Emily Griffith, Dr. Heath served as Vice Chancellor for Workforce, Academic, and Student Affairs for the Colorado Community College System (CCCS) and Colorado’s state CTE director, overseeing strategy and federal funding for more than 200,000 learners annually. Throughout her executive career, Dr. Heath has demonstrated exceptional stewardship over public and private investments. Over the past decade, she has managed the strategic allocation of more than $150 million in state, federal, and philanthropic funds with major foundations —including the Gates Foundation, JPMorgan Chase, Siemens Foundation, and the Joyce Family Foundation—to expand career access and strengthen workforce readiness. 

Her grant development work has directly supported work-based learning, equity-focused opportunity gap analyses, and multi-institutional education pathways across the Denver metro area. She has supported state-level scholarship and sponsorship initiatives through the Foundation for Colorado’s Community Colleges, expanding leadership development opportunities for over 30,000 student members annually.

A "Triple Dawg," Dr. Heath holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, a Master of Education in Business Education, and a doctorate in Workforce Education, all from the University of Georgia. She has served as national president for both the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) and Advance CTE, and currently serves as President of the SkillsUSA Board of Directors, and serves on Colorado's State Apprenticeship Council.
