Labor Day Proud
THE WORLD OF WORK IS CHANGING
Skilled workers are in high demand. That means many rewarding careers don't require a 4-year college degree. In many cases, students can go from classroom to a new career in less than 1 year thanks to vocational education.
We've joined forces with several Colorado organizations to launch Labor Day Proud, a collaborative effort to help people launch vocational careers and find vocational jobs.
By the Numbers
of JOB OPENINGS ARE MIDDLE SKILLS
Until 2024, 48% of job openings will be middle-skill, reports National Skills Coalition.
AVERAGE STUDENT LOAN DEBT
Students who attend traditional 4-year colleges graduate with an average of more than $35,000 in student loan debt.
VOCATIONAL JOB SALARIES
Many vocational jobs — including Video Production & Editing; Geographic Information Systems; and Computer Networking — can lead to salaries of well over $50,000 per year.
Launching a successful career doesn't have to mean racking up student loan debt.
Public technical schools can provide you with the skills needed to climb the ranks in a growing industry. In most cases, it's possible to go from classroom to career in less than 1 year!
We've curated job boards of Colorado employers who focus on skills when hiring, rather than focusing exclusively on training, education, and years of experience.
