Cosmetology student Amalie Hursh was selected as a winner for Professional Beauty Association's prestigious Beacon award!
Amalie is one of 100 winners nationwide.
Video Production and Editing student Marc Storc created this video profile of Amalie as part of her entry for this award.
"All of the educators and students in the Cosmetology department are beyond thrilled that our own Amalie was selected as one of the national winners for the Beacon award," said Laurie Murdoch, Instructional Specialist of Cosmetology at Emily Griffith Technical College.
"From the beginning, Amalie expressed her desire to have her video produced by a fellow student in our Video Production & Editing department so that this could be a wonderful and collaborative project," Laurie added.
"We have all been rooting for her and helping her in whatever way we could, but it must be said that Amalie was totally self-driven and so deserving of this recognition!"
