Emily Griffith Foundation and Kenneth King Foundation have been partners for nearly a decade.
Our enduring partnership is based on a shared vision: improving lives through access to meaningful employment.
Kenneth King understood the power of entrepreneurship to help people reach self-sufficiency and beyond, and his Foundation supports the Sturm Family Entrepreneurship Center at Emily Griffith Technical College.
Students who successfully complete our entrepreneurship program are eligible for Kenneth King Foundation’s $10,000 commitment in seed money for their businesses.
Kenneth King Foundation support has meant everything to entrepreneurs like Solomon, a refugee from Somalia. He completed the entrepreneurship program while working full-time in a local bakery to support his six children.
Solomon was awarded $2,300 to purchase better camera equipment and is now the preferred photographer for his community and cultural groups. His photos have been seen on the covers of many local publications and he has done professional shoots for FWD.US.
