Alby Segall to Lead Foundation in Continuing to Serve the Community of Denver and the Students of Emily Griffith

DENVER, CO | January 21, 2014 – The Emily Griffith Foundation is pleased to announce Alby Segall as the organization’s next President. Segall brings a wealth of experience from both the nonprofit and the business world.  In his most recent venture as President of Gemini Consulting Group, Segall used his business development and fundraising acumen to advance the interests of companies and organizations across America.

“This is an exciting time for the school as it prepares for the upcoming relocation and the 100 year anniversary just around the corner.  Alby has the right combination of enthusiasm and experience to lead the Foundation in these efforts and ensure the College can provide even more opportunities ‘For All Who Wish to Learn,’ as Emily Griffith originally envisioned and continues today,” says Jeanne Bistranin, Emily Griffith Foundation Chair and Senior Program Officer at Adolph Coors Foundation.

After earning his Master’s degree in American Studies/American Folklore from The George Washington University and the Smithsonian, Segall spent nine years at the Denver Jewish Community Center and then served as Executive Director of the San Jose Jewish Community Center.  While in Silicon Valley, Segall created Alby Segall and Associates, a small business strategy, research and technology application company.  After this venture, Segall took the reins of one of the most innovative and enterprising museums in the country:  Children’s Museum of Denver.  In that post, Segall realized that giving back to this community is a responsibility to take seriously.
